Expand/collapse
DESCRIPTION
Description
"We made our own fun… Saturday night you’d go to the Star Pictures, got a bottle of lemonade and an ice cream, put the ice cream inside the lemonade." Married for 51 years, Jim and Noeline Bradley were long time residents of Waverley. Offering glimpses of a bygone era, they recall memories of a tightly knit village, friendly shopkeepers, and cricket matches in the street. Colourful characters like Bondi Mary make an appearance, along with the shocking event of a police murder in Bondi Junction.
