Physical DescriptionOriginal material (1 A3 Archive box) Photographs and items belonging to Olive Braddock (1925-1992), nee Leighton who was Miss Bondi 1945. Most of the photographs relate to her winning this title. Photographs include: Olive in publicity photos with the cup, posing on Bondi Beach, at her place of work and as a child in dance studio publicity shots. This accession also includes her Gould League of Bird Lovers membership cards 1931-1936, a clipping from The Truth newspaper dated 4 January 1942 with a photo of Olive on the beach, and a eulogy given at her funeral by David Hall, a relative of Olive’s. This accession also contains Olive’s Miss Bondi cup, which is featured in a number of her large format photos. The smaller photos have been removed and added to the photograph collection as ‘Miss Bondi (1945) – Olive Leighton’. Larger photos, the newspaper clipping and Gould League of Bird Lovers membership cards 1932-1936 are in separate box. The cup is next to the box. SeriesWaverley Archives Finding Aid
