Variant titleA Waverley Library Local History FactsheetAuthor/CreatorWaverley LibraryContentsBeatrice Miles, known as Bea or Bee, was a bohemian rebel and Sydney eccentric born in 1902. She defied societal norms, studying medicine and arts, and her life took a turn after a period of severe illness. Her family had her committed to an asylum, but media attention led to her release.
