Variant titleA Waverley Library Local History FactsheetAuthor/CreatorWaverley LibraryContentsAmelia Hall, an Englishwoman who arrived in Australia in the 1850s, is best known for founding an exclusive boys' private school and donating two pink granite horse troughs at Waverley Cemetery. These troughs, bearing the inscription "PRESENTED BY A LADY IN AID OF THE OBJECTS OF THE ANIMALS PROTECTION SOCIETY," still stand today.
