The Waverley Historical Society
The members and the society have stood the test of time, researching and contributing to the Waverley community 60+ years on from its humble beginnings on 20th August 1962. The society was founded at the Bondi Beach Esplanade, and in November of that same year, it adopted its name The Waverley Historical Society.
The Constitution
"The objects of the Society shall be to encourage the study of Australian History; the advancement of the knowledge of, and the study of, every aspect of the history of Waverley and district and any other matter of historical interest; and for the collection and preservation of records of any of the said matters".
