Waverley Library Through the Decades
Description
Scope and contents
Waverley Library is celebrating its 60th birthday in 2024!
Throughout the decades, it has been a place where people come to learn, explore, and connect. The library has evolved considerably since its beginning in 1964, starting as an annex beside the Bondi-Waverley School of arts on Bondi Road. In 1967 a new branch opened at the repurposed Brunswick Bowling Alley (now Officeworks) on Ebley Street, and finally settled into the purpose-built library we know and love in 1999.
